Project Safety
Each tragic Loss of Control accident impacts not only the victims, but hundreds of individuals within affected families and communities.
We are a small but passionate group of dedicated individuals, committed to shaping a safer future for aviation by reducing the number of fatal and tragic Loss of Control in-flight accidents.
WHAT
Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I) is the #1 cause of fatal accidents in aviation. Each tragedy impacts not only the victims, but hundreds of people within affected families and communities.
Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRTA) is not required by the FAA for flight training, yet it is a critical ingredient in helping to lower these accidents! Project Safety is committed to helping aspiring career aviators get this training. We believe a pilot is only as good and as safe as their training!
Project Safety operates under Patty Wagstaff Aviation Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

How will we fulfill our mission?
We will support aspiring career pilots through discretionary gifts. We will identify these pilots through our connections with Flight Schools and organizations like Women in Aviation, the 99’s, the Latino Pilots Association, Black Pilots of America, and many other valuable resources.
